Each year we reach out to corporate leaders and ask them to join us in supporting opportunities for junior golfers. We are grateful for the opportunity to highlight these incredible organizations through our sponsorship opportunities. Without their generous support we would not be able to successfully pursue our initiatives.
about the foundation
The Scott Watkins Memorial Golf Foundation established in 2022 to pay tribute to Scott Watkins legacy and passion for the game of golf. Scott spent 25 years as a golf course superintendent at The Fortress in Frankenmuth, Michigan and led both of his daughters to the game, who held success at both Frankenmuth High School and Western Michigan University. Scott was passionate about spreading the game of golf with juniors, forming the inaugural Frankenmuth Girls Golf “Patriot Cup” and supporting various junior golf organizations throughout the State of Michigan. Scott was always known for his optimism on the course, being the first person to spread positivity to young players after a bad round and pushing junior players to follow their dreams both on and off the course. In honor of the many lessons, opportunities, and memories the game of golf provided to their family, Scott’s daughters Kaitlyn Watkins and Megan Watkins-Kuhn have started The Scott Watkins Memorial Golf Foundation to pay tribute to their late father.
